you can split a sheet into different tabs for organization, ie, a defense, attacks, spells, general stats, skills, gear, and notes you can use formulas to link them to each other (ie, Armor Class calculations for a D&D character, pulling the AC bonus from the shield and armor on the gear page, and the dex mod from the stats page) if you want to get really fancy, certain graphs can be used to represent certain things, I've seen someone do a health bar, that shows red and green parts, based on the health/max health in the character sheet.
